I visited five of the more than 60 libraries in Paris. Read more about these beautiful bookish places!

Museum Meermanno is one of my favourite literary places. Read all about the history of this wonderful library.
For my course on Russian literature, I read the novel Oblomov by Ivan Goncharov. Something happened that I never expected: I might have found a main character more annoying than Flaubert’s Emma Bovary.
The Hague is famous for a lot of things: it’s where you can find the Dutch government, international justice institutes and Vermeer’s painting of the girl with the pearl earring. But with the Dutch royal library, great bookstores and the national house of the book, The Hague is definitely also a must-see for bibliophiles!
In 2016, I read 79 books. I was able to read so many books because I was committed to a lot of books, either through study, or a book club, or my own resolutions. So for next year, I made sure I have a lot to read again.
